Kissing Through A Screen Door

Separation from family and friends produces stress and anxiety that only a re-connection can cure. Sure, we can socially connect through some form of virtual reality, but nothing works like a face to face embrace. A simulated connection is like kissing your spouse through a screen door. It is not the same!

How can you feel an air hug? Impossible! How can you feel the emotion of reconnecting with your children or a close friend through a face-time call? Impossible! As good as Facebook Live can be, nothing can replace the experience of a person to person connection. Physical separation is painful!

What about feeling separated from God? Have the events of the past month caused you to feel separated from God? Prayerfully not! The connection of a Believer to God is founded on facts and not feelings. When you are certain of the facts the feelings of assurance are overwhelmingly enjoyable!

“Can anything ever separate us from Christ’s love? Does it mean He no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death? … 37No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us. 38And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. 39No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.”        Romans 8:35-39 (NLT)

Can anything ever separate us from Christ’s love? No, nothing! When you know as a fact that Jesus Christ is your Savior and Lord, the feeling of being embraced by Him is real. Nothing can separate us!

Tassie and I love you and are praying for you!
